Description

Captain William Blake is the primary main antagonist Of the 1980 horror film The Fog and its 2005 remake.

In the 1800s, Captain William Blake was a wealthy ship captain. He and his crew were sailing at night in a thick fog in search of a place to establish a leper colony. He and his crew headed towards a beacon they saw in the distance, but it turns out to be a false beacon set up by a nearby town as a trap. The town’s people in the 1800’s wreck the boat, with no survivors. The towns people loot the ship and founded their town on the stolen gold from Blake’s ship.

Many years later, Blake and his crew’s phantoms return from the dead and seek revenge against the town. Accompanied by a thick and dense fog, they seek to claim the lives of 6 townspeople in revenge for their unlawful murders.

A descendant of the former town owner, the local reverend, discovers his great, great grandfather’s diary detailing the treachery of the townspeople. He also discovers a cross made of gold, Blake’s gold and the artefact he was most proudest of.

When a group of survivors band together in the church, Blake appears personally for the first time with his crew. To save the group, the reverend returns Blake his gold. This seemingly banishes Blake and his crew, but the movie ends with Blake decapitating the reverend, as he had to end with 6 souls in revenge for the condemnation of himself and his crew.
